Arcane Sight by tpoulton001

I love the infinity of stars in the sky and the wonder it inspires in us all, time stands still when I raise my head to the stars and unlocks the door to my soul. Just before I start bombarding you with epic images from the Dolomites I have one more from Switzerland I want to share with you. After 3 days of crazy weather, we were treated to clear skies, perfect for capturing stars before sunrise. Grabbing a coffee from the cafe and boarding the Funicular with the construction workers and hotel staff, we headed up the mountain. Halfway up on a 45˚ angle, in a tunnel, the power cuts out and the whole train is plunged into darkness. What feels like an eternity, finally the power comes back on and we start back up the mountain. I have to say that the first thing I thought of was how long it would take to break the window and jump out before the train exploded on the side of Zermatt. Luckily I made it to the lake while the stars were still shining and that stunning alpenglow was on the horizon. As usual all comments and shares are appreciated! via 500px
