I partnered with Nick, a Seattle bartender, to make a simple cocktail that you could make at home that features everyday ingredients and Jose Cuervo Tequila Tradicional, the original recipe by Jose Cuervo, a refined and handcrafted 100% blue agave tequila. Nick muddled cilantro and a couple slices from a jalapeño in 1oz of fresh squeezed lime juice with 0.5 oz of honey simple syrup to create a base for this delicious cocktail. Adding 2oz of Jose Cuervo Tradicional Silver Tequila, shaken with ice until chilled, served up in a coupe drink glass with a small slice of jalapeño to garnish. You can have fun with the garnish. Ingredients: 2oz Jose Cuervo Tradicional Silver, 0.5oz honey simple syrup, 1oz lime, cilantro, and a couple slices from a hot pepper. Nick used jalapeño. // Tools: Knife, measuring cup in ounces, shaker tins, cocktail strainer, tea strainer, and a coupe drink glass (or any cup works). The tea strainer is optional, but it will help get the larger pieces of the cilantro & jalapeño and larger chunks of ice from shaking. // How to make the Honey Simple Syrup: Using a scale add honey into a container that can be sealed, and add an equal amount of hot water. Shake vigorously. Ta-da, you have honey simple syrup. Drink responsibly. via 500px
