The Alster, Hamburg by johschermer Add me http://ift.tt/1lNlcrl

During my stay in Hamburg I often took early morning walks along the Alster.. a photo taken some time ago .. The Alster is a right tributary of the Elbe in Northern Germany. It has its source near Henstedt-Ulzburg, Schleswig-Holstein, flows somewhat southwards through much of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg and joins the Elbe in central Hamburg. The Alster is Hamburg's second most important river. landscaped In the city center, the river forms two lakes, both prominent features in Hamburg's cityscape. Thanks for looking and your most kind comments on my previous upload . Hanna ..
