Dawn tide by erax7 Add me http://ift.tt/1lNlcrl

Happy New Year everyone - hoping everyone is doing well. I've been away for awhile. Was hoping to make my #50 image in my portfolio something special. But the milky way season has been over for awhile and I've really been very busy with changes in the rest of my life. I've started a little bit of water/wave photography - this was the third/fourth time I'd gone out to try - and I'm hoping that I'm getting better. It's summer here at the moment in Perth. With the forecast showing some level of cloud, I got up early to check and was greeted by some dark reds in the direction of the sunrise. It felt a bit strange heading for the beach rather than going somewhere to setup my tripod and camera. I arrived at the beach and ran to the shore - and then promptly ran back a hundred metres to the car as I couldn't find the wrist strap for the camera. Wouldn't want to lose the camera in the surf :P. The challenge with the camera was really shooting with a fast enough shutter speed in the dawn light. I wanted to get reflections off the water from the sunrise and managed to get some in the image. I'll have to confess of a bit of writers block with the title of the image.
