As the whole of Nellai (TN) celebrated Christmas, I went for some fresh bird watching. After a disappointing tour, I was returning home and suddenly there was some movement in this Neem tree and I stopped. All on a sudden, a bluefaced malkoha appeared in front of me glaring right into my lens as if it was sent by the Santa himself ! I have chased this bird umpteen number of times in the past and never had great success getting good images. But today it posed for me for a few shots and I was surprised that even with a 1/50 shutter speed I could hold my lens steady (never done it before ). Feeling truly blessed !!!
