The Path by gluhm Add me http://500px.com/varghese

I thought to call this image Wonderland, as in Wonderland Trail, the 93 mile, 20,000 vertical ft. circumambulation around Mt. Rainier. But the path here isn't part of that divine Trail, wonder though it is. Getting to this spot also doesn't make you pay, like the Wonderland does. If you dare attempt the Wonderland, almost every subalpine meadow gained demands a 3,000 ft climb, and then you disappear downhill into the forest to reach your camp. The scene here is Mazama Ridge. It's a couple miles from the Wonderland Trail, but it's easily reached from a parking lot below Paradise after a paltry 600 ft gain. Processed from a single image in Lightroom.
