This approach of kestrels, I have very often painted in my dreams. But never, I managed to put the picture in my imagination with perfect light, perfect background and perfect wing attitude. Last Sunday - yesterday - it was finally time. The conditions were good and the kestrel was very cooperative, to my surprise. Well camouflaged I remained in my position and the kestrel flew this strain several times in order to clean it up. According to the motto "All good things come in threes", it took me seven approaches to the scene according to my ideas corresponded. Doch noch nie gelang es mir, bei perfektem Licht, perfektem Hintergrund und perfekter Flügelhaltung das Foto nach meiner Vorstellung umzusetzen. Letzten Sonntag - gestern - war es dann endlich so weit. Die Bedingungen waren gut und auch der Turmfalke war zu meinem Erstaunen sehr kooperativ. Gut getarnt verharrte ich in meiner Position und der Turmfalke flog diesen Stamm mehrere male an, um sich darauf zu säubern. Nach dem Motto "Alle guten Dinge sind drei", dauerte es sieben Anflüge bis mir die Szene nach meinen Vorstellungen entsprach.
