Currently testing out my new website! http://ift.tt/1irFxdJ This spot is about 20 miles into the backcountry and a half day's trek from the nearest maintained trail. My initial plan was to drop down the other side of the pass for the night, but high altitude and a heavy pack slowed me down and sapped my energy, forcing me to plop down and set up camp on the summit of the pass. Then this happened.
