A truly magnificent and enigmatic animal, the snow leopard is amongst the most stunning of the big cats. Living on the rocky slopes of Central and East Asia there are believed to be around 5000 of these stunning animals remaining in the wild. Their main threats are being poached for their incredible fur and for the Chinese medicine trade.
