It's not the best composition of a shot, but I'm quite fond of this, as this was one memorable night on the Lofoten Islands in Norway. The night started out as nothing special, no aurora activity, just a lovely starry night until this aurora pretty much out of nowhere and got super intense. I was with a bunch of other photographers and we were jostling for positions to shoot it, I managed to shoot a quick time-lapse of it, and this is one of the frames I captured. You can view that time-lapse here copyright 2014 | Mark Gee | theartofnight.com
