Lake Matheson New Zealand I fit the description for a group of tourists with whom I have had the worst experiences with while travelling. So when I bumped into many versions of 'me' around 5am at the parking lot, I knew it was going to be an interesting morning at Lake Matheson. Perhaps that clouded my judgment into jogging to the 'jetty' viewpoint instead of reflection island! I wondered why I hadn't seen too many shots from here as opposed to the standard shot and found out that morning once the clouds started to lift and I could see what I was shooting ......only a part of Mt Cook and Mt Tasman. 20 minutes later, listening to yelling across the lake and a lot of LCD peeping later from the many versions of 'me' and I was kind of ecstatic to have been a witness to this scene, sad that it could have been better captured .This morning was progressing so nicely even on the walk out that I almost wanted to forego a glacier walk booked the previous day to hang around.
