Molten Rain by bruceomori Add me http://ift.tt/1fqSViy

Immense littoral explosions rocked the Waikupanaha ocean entry, showering the area with glowing tephra, and building up a seaside cone in a matter of days. The unstable delta of land was prone to frequent and sudden collapses, and this day was no exception… While friend and business partner, Tom Kualii, and I were shooting from this sketchy cliff, a deep, loud snap from below sent us sprinting… hearts still racing, we cautiously returned to the spot for a few more shots, but knowing that something was happening below us, we left the area soon after. A subsequent return trip confirmed our decision to be a good one, as the overhanging cliff we were shooting from was no longer there. : ) Tom and I lead tours and workshops around the island of Hawaii, including our favorite subject, the ongoing eruption of Kilauea.
