Glorious Sunburst Peak reflects in Cerulean Lake in British Columbia's Assiniboine Provincial Park. Although Mount Assiniboine is the park's namesake, I fell in love with Sunburst: A powerful and imposing mountain, rising straight out of Cerulean Lake, manifesting itself in all its beauty when dressed in intense golden light by the setting sun. I took this image while looking for promising compositions for two of our Canadian Rockies Workshop participants, Kristen and Nicolette. The remainder of the group had climbed up to the Nublet with my colleague Paul Zizka for panoramic views and night time photography of Assiniboine and Sunburst. I am kind of glad that Kristen and Nicolette decided to stay at the lake : )
