++view on black to take it all in++ Well now that the flowers are pretty much sufficiently KO'd on St. Helens I think now is as good a time as any to post this one. After three failed attempts countless hours on the road and several lost hours of sleep I finally snagged a St. Helens sunset shot in all of her glory. I hauled some serious butt down to St. Helens after work when I saw that high pressure was in place and high clouds were filtering in from the south. I knew that this was probably the last prime weekend for flowers so it was now or never. I literally got to Johnston Ridge about 20 minutes before sunset and ran around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to find a decent comp that included the epic Super Moon rise that was scheduled to happen just after sunset. I couldn't have asked for better conditions and company for that matter as I also ran into Kristina Wilson and Paul Bowman; small freaking world! This was probably one of the single most intense sunsets I've ever had the privilege of witnessing, it burned well into the 10 o'clock hour and was absolutely incredible to say the least.
