"Kingdom of a Mountain" - Mt. Hood (3.429m) - Oregon/USA One of my main goals on my tour has been the cascade mountains. The old volcanic cones decorate the landscape like pearls and exude an indescribable Aurora. In the nearly four miles ascent up to this view towards Mount Hood I went past Mirror Lake, which you can see in the middle. As so often, I had to descent in the dark, which always cause a very queasy stomach. Nevertheless I´m quite happy how it turned out.
