Surf draining off the reef into one of several pukas (reef holes) found along the Keahole Point coastline on the Big Island of Hawaii. One of my favorite subjects to photograph but difficult to capture. The light fades really fast while you struggle to balance camera settings and keep an eye out for large waves. I was standing in the surf for this shot - one false move, and me and all my gear are flushed down the drain! This image looks best when you click on it and view on black background.
