Moments in Ice - Jökulsarlon Beach As we get to this astonishing Beach, we decided to visit a part with less ice blocks. It was tough work to get sharp and well composed shots due to harsh sea conditions and unpredictable waves. Equipped with rubber boots and waterproof snow pants we fought with nature. Despite all the boots from my buddy Felix flooded again and again. After he had already retired into the car, I had to recognize the particular harshness of nature. My camera together with the lens and the filter fell into the sandy water. The D800E suddenly popped off, my lens was rinsed with sand and the filter broke into several parts. Not a nice experience.
